I started with an interest in graphic design and an extreme love for music. Radio involves that and so much more!

What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever done?
I have had the chance to travel to 7 countries so far in my life. Experiencing new cultures and ways of life is pretty much the coolest experience I have taken in. Skydiving and Bungee Jumping are not far behind! I also have a concert bucket list that is killer.
How would you describe your first radio gig?
Intimidating but exhilarating. I started with interning for X1039, worked towards an on air shift & am now also the station’s Promotions Coordinator.
What are you doing Social Media-wise?
I LOVE instagram! Puppies, that cali green green, travel locations, favorite artist & athletes. I’m a person that likes to see expression through photos.
What is your favorite part of the job?
Being able to be surrounded by music all day long. Whether it’s a song playing thru my phone intercom, a live local band, an event we are putting on, or a massive concert…music is my sanity.
What is the one thing that would surprise many people to learn about you?
Hmmm, I always get good reactions to my height if people have never met me before. I’m officially Funsize at 4’11”.
Who is your favorite on-air personality not on your staff and why do you like them?
I’m a big Sway Calloway fan!! He is one cool dude & fellow “technician”.
Do you have a favorite hobby outside of radio?
I am a river rat! I have a family river house in Bullhead AZ & love to take the boat out! This chick handles towing, launching, driving and trailering the boat...and I can cook. Haha!
What advice would you give to people new to radio?
Stay humble & aware of your actions. It’s a small world after all.
Who would be a dream guest to have on your show?
The one person I have always dreamt of speaking with, Freddie Mercury! Plus, seeing him live would be the first thing I would do with a time travel machine.
What’s the coolest promotion you’ve ever been involved in?
Merry Meltdown 2012! Let’s just say tons of hard work went into that day & to see everyone having a blast was worth it all to the moon and back.
What’s the most challenging part of the job?
There are challenges all over, but that’s what makes it great. The feeling of accomplishment after striving for something is always worth the battle.
What led you to a career in radio?
Originally I pursued opportunities at X1039 for graphic design. I had no idea what I was in store for and the opportunities that laid ahead.
What is your favorite kind of X1039 listener?
Anyone who listens and enjoys the station. Music is a great common ground to have, it allows for balance in the world.
What’s your favorite kind of beer?
Hmmmm… well, what’s your favorite kind of puppy? See, it’s a hard choice! But I do always keep my fridge stocked with Dos Equis & limes!
Do you work out?
Yes, and I am striving to be more devoted to a healthier diet.
“Local, local, local”, has always been radio’s mantra. How do you keep your station visible in the community?
I rally my troops. Every family member and friend rocks an X1039 sticker on their car. Also, my roommate rocks an X shirt to work…be sure to say “Hello!” if she delivers your pizza!
What music do you listen to when you do your laundry?
Afroman – “Because I Got High”…it makes me feel better when I walk away and save laundry for later.
What’s your favorite sport?
