    Blink-182 And Fall Out Boy Set For Riot Fest

    Both Blink-182 and Fall Out Boy have signed on to appear at this year's Riot Fest in Chicago. The event is set to take place at the city's Humboldt Park and will run from September 13 through the 15. ; This year, the fest has enlisted a host of top rock and punk acts including Rancid, Motörhead, Dinosaur Jr., Blondie, Yellowcard, Gwar, Say Anything, Maps and Atlases, the Devil Wears Prada, Atmosphere, Pierce the Veil, Guided by Voices, All Time Low, Bob Mould, Sublime with Rome, Against Me!, Violent Femmes, Taking Back Sunday and Brand New. ; Tickets for Riot Fest are available through the event's official website. Three-day passes are currently listed for $99, and single day passes are also available.

    Queens Of The Stone Age Release Short Film

    Queens of the Stone Age have released a 15-minute animated short film to promote the release of their upcoming album Like Clockwork. ; The film puts together several songs and combines them with images by artist Boneface and animator Liam Brazier for an effect that frontman Josh Homme described as "an audio commentary of a manic year." ; The first segment features a bandaged and bloodied man being dragged by an unknown force through a desert landscape as scavengers look on. The man then floats across a cliff before free falling through a city. The subject shifts to a carnival-esque character roaming streets and alleys as windows shatter when he passes. ; Like Clockwork, out on June 4th, features guest appearance by Dave Grohl, Trent Reznor, Elton John, Arctic Monkeys singer Alex Turner and Scissor Sisters' Jake Shears.

    System Of A Down Try To Clear Up Confusion

    System of a Down have released an official statement regarding bassist Shavo Odadjian's public diss of frontman Serj Tankian. Shavo said Serj is holding the band back, but now the group is backpedaling on his remarks. ; "Earlier today, Shavo posted a few statements on his personal Facebook page that do not reflect the sentiments of System of a Down as a collective band," the bands' statement read. ; "These were misleading statements that were made during a temporary state of bad judgment on his part alone. To be clear, the full band lineup . . . will be performing all scheduled tour dates. With respect to new SOAD music although we have not agreed on a timetable for a new album, we all believe that having the four of us do it together is the way to be true to the band and our fans." ; Shavo's original Facebook post read: "Its Serj who doesn't want to do a new album! We are just waiting for SERJ! He might hate me for exposing the truth but I had too. We're trying to get a new album out, it's just not passing Serj's RULES!"
