Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill says the band's recent gigs at London's O2 Arena will likely be "tough to beat." In an update to Twitter, Nathan admitted their triumphant return to the city that helped break their career will be one for the history books. ; "London, 2 words. ***k Yes! Hell of a way to start a tour. Gonna be tough to beat. Thanks for the love. See you soon. Beer me." The Kings are currently on tour throughout the U.K., ramping up to the release of their sixth studio album, Mechanical Bull, due September 24. Followill recently sat down with NME.com to dish on the new LP: "[The fans] like the energetic direction they're going in, which is like our earlier stuff. Going into this record we knew we wanted to have fun and make songs that are fun to play on stage. We challenged ourselves quite a bit. I think it was very hard for Jared to have to dumb down his bass playing on some of these songs, but it fits the songs . . . there are some songs where I don't even hit a cymbal."

Phoenix has firmed up their itinerary post-Lollapalooza, announcing a North American run of dates after they play the Chicago festival on August 4.The latest leg sets off Aug. 6 at the Omaha Music Hall in Omaha, Neb., and will travel through 11 cities including Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles and beyond, before wrapping up October 10 at the RIMAC in San Diego, Calif.
