“To me, the worst day in radio is better than the best day waiting tables, entering data into a computer, or digging a ditch somewhere, you know?” - Doug Durocher
Hometown:
Detroit, Michigan
Favorite Music:
The Replacements, The Clash, The Ramones, and 311
Doug Durocher is the host of X1039's Morning Show, and is on air Monday thru Friday from 5AM to 10AM. He was born in Los Angeles, but has lived in many cities including San Diego, Montreal, Detroit, Atlanta, and Honolulu. After attending college, waiting tables and bar tending until he was 26, Doug decided to give radio a try after making a list of things he liked and was good at, which included music, sports, and making people laugh.
A Typical Day at the X:
Doug arrives at the station at about 4:30 in the morning, drinking as much coffee as possible while reading over the news and planning out last-minute details to his show. While on air, Doug features the Idiot Files, the “Stupid Stories About Stupid People”, and plays some of X1039's latest and greatest tracks for listeners' commutes to work.
