    Fun. And Lumineers Are Most Streamed Artists Of The Past Year In The U.K.

    Fun. and the Lumineers both made the top five of the Official Charts Company's Most Streamed Artists of the past 12 months. Fun.'s hit "We Are Young" took the top spot, while "Ho Hey" by the Lumineers took the three spot. ; A total of 4.405 billion streams were recorded from several streaming services including Spotify, Deezer, Napster, Zune, Omnifone, Bloom and We7. ; "The huge number of streams that have been delivered in the first year of the Official Streaming Chart is proof positive of the huge and growing popularity of music streaming," a rep for Spotify told the BBC. ; Carly Rae Jepsen came in number two with "Call Me Maybe," while Swedish House Mafia ("Don't You Worry Child") and Rihanna ("Diamonds") rounded out the top five.

    Linkin Park's Chester Bennington Sings On New STP Song

    Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington joined the Stone Temple Pilots in California for a new song, "Out of Time." The band has released a streaming version of the track to SoundCloud. ; In addition to the new song, the Bennington-led Pilots performed a handful of STP classics, closing the set with "Trippin' on a Hole in a Paper Heart." ; "Chester has a one-of-a-kind voice that we've admired for a long time. We know Linkin Park will always be his priority, but we thought it would be cool to try something together. We managed to find the time to record a song and we're all really happy with the result," guitarist Dean DeLeo. ; Bennington added that he's been a fan of STP since the age of 13: "When the opportunity came up to do something creative with them, I jumped at the chance," he said.

    Blink-182 And Fall Out Boy Set For Riot Fest

    Both Blink-182 and Fall Out Boy have signed on to appear at this year's Riot Fest in Chicago. The event is set to take place at the city's Humboldt Park and will run from September 13 through the 15. ; This year, the fest has enlisted a host of top rock and punk acts including Rancid, Motörhead, Dinosaur Jr., Blondie, Yellowcard, Gwar, Say Anything, Maps and Atlases, the Devil Wears Prada, Atmosphere, Pierce the Veil, Guided by Voices, All Time Low, Bob Mould, Sublime with Rome, Against Me!, Violent Femmes, Taking Back Sunday and Brand New. ; Tickets for Riot Fest are available through the event's official website. Three-day passes are currently listed for $99, and single day passes are also available.

    Bobby Sato is on air Monday through Friday from 10AM to 3PM. While attending the University of Redlands, he originally planned to fly planes for a living, but an incidental class in radio changed his mind and career path. In his spare time, Bobby is also an avid snowboarder, motorcycle expert, and river rat. He describes himself as someone who isn't content with staying home all day.

     

    A Typical Day at the X:

    Bobby goes live at 10AM, and features favorites like the Workforce Lunchbloxand many midday give-aways. After 3PM, Bobby goes to the production studio where he deals with the back end of radio. In addition to playing music, Bobby is also in charge of the production at the station and voices many of the commercials and promotions that play on-air.
